The GlassCon Bottle Quality Control System is a unique quality and analysis control system that can perform a complete 360-degree analysis of a bottle and its elements using only a single high-resolution camera. This is possible because the technology uses a uniquely configured 4-mirror system, which allows the user to view the whole bottle, as well as its neck and cork areas from above, in one image. The reflections of the mirrors are placed so that the camera can do this by filming just one of the mirrors and not the bottle itself.
An open fissure on the surface of the bottle.
Foreign particle embedded in the glass wall. May cause local strain which could result in cracks and breakage.
Small light brown or white inclusion within the glass wall. >1.6mm in diameter.

A finish manufactured during the Narrow Neck Press Blow (NNPB) and Press and Blow processes, which has excessive glass protruding upward from the inside mould parting line, to the extent it may be broken or chipped in normal use

In cooperation with Valmiermuiža Brewery, a glass container quality device was manufactured, which is able to perform several quality measurements in one device at the same time. The aim was to research and create innovative equipment and systems that can be adapted to existing production lines, and with the possibility to train and adapt the system to perform a wide range of visual product quality analysis.
The set goal was achieved and in the configuration of this device the device is able to work with filled bottles and bottles with labels, performing full quality control of the bottle and its elements: to determine the level of bottle filling; to analyze the presence of foam, to analyze the conformity of the cork and their defects (scratches); analyze the conformity of the label, analyze the position of the label, skew and its defects.
